A Bible trivia printable is a ready-to-print sheet of Bible questions with an answer key, made for youth group, small group or game night. Bible Academy offers eight free trivia PDFs in US Letter size with no sign-up, from 40 to 125 questions each, and every set has an answer key and is based on the King James Version.

You'll find them all on our free printables page. This guide helps you pick the right one in about a minute, and it adds a short set of 24 easy questions you can copy into your own sheet or read out loud tonight.

A verse next to an answer also settles arguments quickly: the group opens a Bible and checks.

Which Bible trivia printable should you use?

Start with who's in the room. A group of new believers and a group of lifelong Bible readers need different sheets, and the hard set can sink a friendly night.

A few quick picks:

  • Hosting teens this week? Use the youth group sheet. It's split into rounds, so you can stop whenever time runs out.
  • Grown-ups who don't want a kids' game? Use the adult sheet. It's written for people who've been around the Bible a while.
  • Thanksgiving table? Print the Thanksgiving trivia and put one sheet at each end of the table.
  • Not sure of the level? Read a few questions from the 125-question sheet aloud and see how the room reacts.

Want the questions without any paper? The app gives you a quiz path at your level, and each answer is explained with its verse.

How to run a printed Bible trivia game

You don't need a projector. A stack of sheets, some pens and a timer on your phone will do.

Print it the smart way

Print the question pages for the teams, and keep the answer pages for the host. Since the key sits at the end of each PDF, this is easy to do: choose the page range in your print dialog. One sheet per team saves paper and gets people talking.

Set up teams

Three to five people per team works well. Mix ages and Bible knowledge on purpose, so the newest person in the room isn't sitting with other newcomers. Ask a different person to read the questions each round, so it doesn't feel like a test run by the youth pastor.

Keep the score simple

Here's a scheme for about 45 minutes. It's only a suggestion, so adjust it to your group.

RoundQuestionsPoints eachTime
Warm-up10110 minutes
Main round10215 minutes
Tougher round5310 minutes
Tiebreaker and verse check1none5 minutes

End with a passage

Before everyone leaves, read one passage connected to a question from the night, and ask what stood out. It only takes a few minutes, and it turns a game into time in the Word. For the 24 questions above, Daniel in the lions' den or the temptation in the wilderness both work.

For more ideas that don't need paper, see our Bible games for youth group, or try Bible Jeopardy questions if your team likes a board.

Paper or app: when each one works

Paper is great for groups. Everybody's looking up, and no one disappears into their notifications. It also costs nothing and works anywhere, even in a church basement with poor signal.

An app is better for what happens between meetings. A sheet doesn't know which questions you missed, and it won't give you a new set tomorrow. You can get free questions on our Bible quiz pages for each book, or a daily Bible quiz if you want a small habit.

The Bible Academy app is the paid option, with a 7-day free trial, then $4.99 a month or $34.99 a year. It adds the full quiz path from beginner to expert, along with a reading plan and thousands of questions on every book, chapter, character and story.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I find free printable Bible trivia?

Bible Academy's printables page has eight free Bible trivia PDFs, from 40 to 125 questions each, in US Letter size. There's no sign-up and no email required. They cover general trivia, youth groups, adults, hard questions, true or false, Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter, and each has answers at the end.

What is a good easy Bible trivia question?

A good easy question has one clear answer that a newcomer could learn in a sentence, like "Who killed Goliath?" The answer is David, in 1 Samuel 17:50. Well-known stories such as Noah, Jonah and Zacchaeus work best at this level. Add the verse so the group can check it together.

Are these printable Bible trivia sheets good for adults?

Yes. The 64-question Bible Trivia for Adults sheet is designed for grown-ups in six rounds, and the 60-question Hard Bible Trivia sheet is ranked by difficulty for longtime readers. Both are free PDFs, and both include an answer key with KJV verses at the end, so nobody has to take the host's word for it.

Which Bible version do the printables use?

The answer keys use the King James Version. A few details can read differently in other translations, such as "coat of many colours" in Genesis 37:3, so tell your group up front if they're using a modern Bible. The facts tested are usually the same, and the reference lets anyone compare.

How many questions do I need for a Bible trivia night?

About 25 questions fills 45 minutes if you allow time for debate and for checking verses. A warm-up of 10 easy ones, 10 medium ones and 5 harder ones gives every team a chance to score. If your group moves quickly, use a longer sheet and stop when the time runs out.
