Frequently asked questions
What is Bible Academy?
Bible Academy is a Bible quiz and study app for young adults. You answer quizzes on every book, chapter, character and story of the Bible, at your level, and every answer is explained with the verse it comes from. Around the quizzes there is a reading plan for all 66 books, character profiles, story summaries, sermon notes, a SOAP journal and memory verses.
Is Bible Academy free?
You can start for free with no card: a free account gives Bible challenges with friends, and the quizzes, printables and guides on this website are free without an account. Premium unlocks the full quiz path, reading plan and study tools for $4.99 a month or $34.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. There are no ads.
Is Bible Academy available on iPhone and Android?
Bible Academy works today in any browser at app.bibleacademyapp.com, on phone or computer. The iPhone app is in Apple review and the Android app is in testing on Google Play. Your account and progress are the same everywhere.
Who made Bible Academy?
Bible Academy was founded by Cédric Pokam, a French evangelical Christian and business student, who built it to help young adults actually know the whole Bible, not just read a verse a day.
What translation and doctrinal stance does it use?
English content quotes the King James Version (KJV), with the ASV also available in the app. Bible Academy is written from a Protestant, evangelical point of view. Where Bible-believing Christians disagree, articles say so and give the verses on each side.
How are the quiz questions checked?
Each question has one correct answer, an explanation and a Bible reference. Verses on this site are pulled from the Bible text itself rather than typed by hand. Readers can report a mistake and it is corrected.
Who is Bible Academy for?
Young adults and adults who want to know the Bible well, youth group and small group leaders who need ready-made trivia with verses, and anyone following a Bible in a year plan who wants to check what they retained. It is not designed for young children.
How is Bible Academy different from other Bible apps?
Reading apps such as YouVersion focus on reading plans and devotionals; trivia games focus on scores. Bible Academy is built around learning: a quiz path from beginner to expert where every answer is explained by its verse, tied to a reading plan. Our app comparisons are on the Learn pages and say clearly that Bible Academy is our own app.
